About
Hi! I’m Taylor Strode
Executive Director, DEI Leader, Mentor & Coach
As a woman of color who has navigated the highs and lows of corporate life, I know firsthand what it feels like to carry ambition, doubt, resilience, and pressure—and sometimes all at once. Over the last decade, I’ve built my career across industries—from media and entertainment to financial services—leading work in diversity, equity, and inclusion, talent development, and business strategy.
I created this space because I believe women of color deserve more than just advice—we deserve strategy, advocacy, and someone in our corner. This isn’t just career coaching. It’s career empowerment. It’s the pep talk at the right moment. The push when doubt creeps in. The plan when everything feels overwhelming.
I’m here to help you find clarity, fuel your story, build real connections, and own your path forward with confidence.
“I believe women of color deserve more than just advice—we deserve strategy, advocacy, and someone in our corner.”
A Strategic and Intentional Approach
This work is personal to me. After a decade of navigating corporate America—and supporting others as a DEI leader, people manager, and mentor—I understand the systemic barriers women of color face in their careers, and I know how to move through them with strategy and intention.
I’ve worked across both creative and corporate industries, from media and entertainment to financial services, and I support clients at all stages of their career journeys—regardless of industry. Because the challenges we face as women of color show up everywhere. And so does our potential.
The Cornerstone Method™
A four-part framework designed to help women of color move through pivotal moments in their careers with clarity, confidence, and direction.
Whether you’re just starting out, leveling up, or stepping into leadership, this method helps you make bold moves with a grounded plan and the support you need to carry it through.
-
We start by getting clear on what you want, and what might be standing in the way. Together, we’ll define your short- and long-term goals, break them down into manageable steps, and identify the mindset shifts and structural barriers that need attention.
-
Your story is your power. We’ll craft a strong personal brand—on paper, online, and in the room—that reflects who you are, what you bring, and where you’re headed. This may include résumé and LinkedIn guidance, refining your elevator pitch, and learning how to advocate for yourself with intention.
-
You don’t have to do this alone. We’ll map out the relationships that can support your growth—whether that’s mentors, sponsors, peer allies, or new communities—and build strategies for reaching out, following up, and showing up.
-
Throughout the process, we’ll build and reinforce the confidence you need to navigate challenges, speak up, and lead with presence. Whether it’s impostor syndrome—or what I like to call the Quiet Critic—fear of judgment, or doubting your own voice, we’ll tackle it head-on.
Solutions for Every Stage of Your Career
Using my signature Cornerstone Method™, I help women of color navigate the moments that matter most: career transitions, visibility, leadership, and growth. Whether you’re finding your footing, leveling up, or stepping into executive leadership, I meet you where you are—with a balance of accountability and encouragement.
I focus on three core stages of the career journey:
Emerging and early professionals building direction and confidence
Mid-career women seeking clarity, visibility, or a fresh chapter
Leaders in transition navigating promotions, politics, or executive presence
My coaching is practical, personalized, and action-oriented. You’ll leave each session with a strategy that makes sense for you—and the support to carry it through.
